According to the company, both versions of the game sold over 300,000 units combined over launch weekend. The game is the fastest-selling in the history of the franchise in the United States, said Nintendo.

It sold five times as many units as 2013’s Fire Emblem Awakening, which was the previous record holder in the United States, during its first three days of availability.

Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright was the top seller between both versions, with Conquest "coming close behind."

As previously reported, a third story for Fire Emblem Fates called Revelation will be made available for purchase March 10 for $19.99

Not counting the day-one DLC released, extra content for the game will be released on a semi-weekly basis from tomorrow, February 25.
