Final Fantasy 7 releasing March 26, Final Fantasy 9 out now on Switch, W10 PC, Xbox One

Square Enix dropped a nice surprise this evening: Final Fantasy 9 is now available on Windows 10 PC, Swich and Xbox One. Oh, and Final Fantasy 7 has a release date.

Final Fantasy 9 has arrived on Windows 10 PC, Switch and Xbox One. Surprise! Even better, Square Enix has also announced a release date for Final Fantasy 7.

Originally released in 2000, Final Fantasy 9  tells a tale of "love, war, magic and self-discovery."  If you played the game previously on PlayStation, you can relive moments featuring Zidane, Vivi, princess Garnet and others with modern enhancements such as high-definition movies and character models, auto-save functionality and more.

Just so you know, the game is a play anywhere title for Xbox One and Windows 10.

Come March 26, Final Fantasy 7 will be released on Switch and Xbox One. About damned time.

If you have never played it (shame on you if that's the case) you will tag along with Cloud and his allies as they get caught up in "a massive struggle" to stop the threat of Sephiroth and save the planet.

The game has received some love, so expect high-definition graphics, and modern features such as auto-save, enemy encounter options and more.

There's more coming this year though, as Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remasters and Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age will be released for Switch and Xbox One in April.

Final Fantasy 10 and 10-2 release on April 26, and The Zodiac Age arrives on the systems April 30.

Finally, Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon - Every Buddy, the Wii spin-off, will be released on March 20 for Switch and PS4. A reworking of the 2007 game Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon will feature new randomly generated dungeons, a new buddy system to recruit monsters and other characters as allies, and a local co-op.

If you pre-order from the eShop, you will receive buddy chocobo “Alpha” and the Switch exclusive buddy chocobo “Machinist” DLC .

Those who order on the PlayStation Store will receive buddy chocobo “Alpha,” the PS4 exclusive buddy chocobo “Beastmaster” DLC, a PS4 theme, and PlayStation Network avatar bundle.

That's whole lotta Final Fantasy.
