End of Nations delayed

Petroglyph's free-to-play MMORTS, End of Nations, has been pushed back to 2012.

Eurogamer confirmed the delay with publisher Trion Worlds at its eponymous Expo over the weekend.

Last we heard, Trion Worlds was aiming for an autumn 2011 release. Community Manager Lance James wouldn't be drawn on a new prospective release date or beta plans.

Some of the PC game's more ambitious features seem to have been scaled back a little in the interim, which may explain the delay - a live demo apparently touted a new player cap of 26, down from the 50 suggested earlier this year.

Developer Petroglyph has a number of strategy and multiplayer titles under its belt, including the Star Wars: Empire at War series, Panzer General, and more recently, MOBAs Mytheon and Rise of Immortals.
