EA Sports: Madden NFL 12 still slated for summer despite current NFL issues

EA Sports president Peter Moore has said Madden NFL 12 will be released as planned this summer, despite the current lockout between the NFL and Players Association.

So, even if there isn't any football this year, Madden NFL 12 will still be released.

"We'll be shipping this year, regardless of what the labor issues are, whether they're resolved or not," Moore said during an EA Sports event in San Francisco.

"Madden 12 will be shipping on August 30th 2011, regardless of what happens with the league itself."

At least there will be football of some sort, then.

You can vote on who will be featured on the cover this year, still.

Currently, Adrian Peterson is beating Michael Vick in their respective bracket, and Peyton Hills is ahead of Asron Rodgers. The winner of each bracket will be revealed on April 18, with the public able to vote between the two winners after that.

Thanks, Joystiq.
