EA: Bad Company 2 won't beat Modern Warfare 2... yet

By normal game sales standards, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 isn't doing too badly for itself. Five million units? That's nothing to sneeze at.

Unless, of course, you're Modern Warfare 2.

“It’s been great,” EA VP and UK GM Keith Ramsdale told MCV. “The press reaction has been focused largely on how good the multiplayer is. It’s now recognised as genre defining, and the way the market’s going, that’s key."

“Are we going to beat Modern Warfare sales this year with any single title? No. But do we have a long-term goal of taking more market share or possibly growing the market? Yes.”

Slow and steady wins the race, after all. Granted, Medal of Honor and whatever Respawn Entertainment's got cooking probably won't hurt either.
