Dying Light 2 E3 trailer stars an infected survivor who can still do parkour

Dying Light 2’s protagonist is infected with the same virus that has filled its city with zombies. The player character, Aiden Caldwell, was revealed in a new trailer during E3’s Xbox briefing.

In Dying Light lore, the early stages of infection grant victims a new agility, which would fit Caldwell’s penchant for parkour. Infected humans also tend to avoid the light - it remains to be seen whether that’ll affect your operating hours in Dying Light 2.

Techland has also announced the involvement of composer Olivier Deriviere, who most recently worked on the highly emotive A Plague Tale: Innocence. You can hear his score in the new trailer.

Dying Light 2 is set 15 years after the events of the first game, and features a narrative directed by Chris Avellone, no less. It’ll be out in Spring 2020.
