DayZ, Final Fantasy 9, Fractured Minds, Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to Xbox Game Pass in May

Final Fantasy 9, DayZ, and Fractured Minds are coming to Xbox Game Pass this month alongside Red Dead Redemption 2.

Microsoft has announced new titles for Xbox Game Pass in May, and as you know, one of these is Red Dead Redemption 2.

Rockstar announced last month its western was heading to the service, and you can pick it up for Xbox One tomorrow, May 7.

Also on May 7, battle royale title DayZ will be available for console. If you haven't tried the game before, in it you and up to 60 others on a server try to survive as long as possible. Your hand will not be held either as there are no tips, waypoints, or any help what so ever given to you.

On May 14, Square Enix classic Final Fantasy 9 arrives on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One and PC. In it, Princess Garnet has been kidnapped by Zidane and his group of bandits who are masquerading as a theater troupe.  Turns out, she wanted to leave the castle anyway, so she isn't too upset about it.

Fractured Minds, a game exploring anxiety and mental health issues, will be released to the service on May 19. In it, you will journey across the "human psyche" and face "everyday challenges associated with these conditions."

Coming soon to the service on PC is Endless Legend, a 4X strategy where you lead one of eight civilizations, each with their own unique gameplay and story. The planet which you reside faced and apocalypse, and winter was not kind. You will need to grow food, build industries, and advance your science and magic.

As was announced yesterday, Halo 2 and Halo 2: Anniversary will arrive on Xbox Game Pass for PC May 12.

Other games coming in May will be announced at a later date.

If you missed out on particular titles, you should know the following games are leaving the service for PC on May 15: Imperator: Rome, Rise of the Tomb Raider, The Banner Saga, West of Loathing, and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus.

On Xbox One, GTA 5 will leave the service pm May 7, and the following game will be unavailable for console on May 15: Black Desert, Doom, Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, Metal Gear Survive, The Banner Saga. and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus
