Call of Duty: Mobile is coming this year to Android and iOS

Activision has announced Call of Duty: Mobile for Android, and iOS devices in the West.

Call of Duty: Mobile is a free-to-play shooter that combines classic maps, weapons, as well as characters from Call of Duty's Modern Warfare, and Black Ops series.

Built on Unity, the game was developed by Tencent's Timi studio, and its first public beta is coming this summer. So far, the game has been confirmed for release in North America, South America, and Europe.

The FPS offers classic modes such as Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, as well as Free for All. Likewise, classic maps such as Nuketown, Crash, Hijacked and others are already in the game.

Outside of PvP, Call of Duty: Mobile also features "other modes", which Activision will reveal at a later date. Today's trailer appears to show a co-op mode, as well as battle royale. Neither would be out of the question.

For now, those interested can pre-register at the official site to be notified when the beta goes live this summer.
