Blizzard to offer "limited" free streams from Blizzcon this week

If the idea of parting with cash to watch a video feed from this year's Blizzcon doesn't sound like your idea of a good time, all is not lost.

From Blizzard PR:

Limited streaming coverage of the BlizzCon opening ceremony and certain BlizzCon tournaments will be available via the Internet for free.

The goodies included in Blizzard's paid option, the $40 "virtual ticket," include multiple HD streams, in-game StarCraft II items, and "Deathy", an in-game World of Warcraft murloc pet that, if tradition is observed, will fetch decent prices on your online auction site of choice.

Blizzcon 2010 kicks off at the end of this week: we'll be there.
