There's a hardcore setting in Cyberpunk 2077 which hides the UI

You can go "hardcore" in Cyberpunk 2077 by hiding the UI if you want a challenge.

Speaking in an interview with Wccftech, CD Projekt Red's Alvin Liu said there is a hardcore setting in Cyberpunk 2077 which eliminates the UI.

The developer feels this will provide a "real challenge for a lot of players." But if you wish to play it in a more casual manner, there will be options available for that too. CDPR want those who aren't into fps to enjoy the game as well, especially if they are into the story more than combat.

"We want to tell a story and maybe you’re a big fan of The Witcher and you’re not comfortable playing a shooter, we have settings available for that," Liu told Wccftech. "We even have weapons for that. If you recall from last year’s demo, we had a weapon called the Smart Gun, which helps you aim.

"The bullets were much slower and usually a bit weaker. But if your aiming isn’t your forte, you can always pick up the Smart Gun."

There will also be setting available should you have issues with a first-person perspective, like many of us have. This is where the Field-of-View slider will come in handy.

The team is also taking into consideration accessibility on other levels. This includes subtitles for "people who might have trouble reading some of the text." Thank you. Our eyes aren't as great as they used to be - we're looking at you, lovely computer screens.

Elsewhere in the interview, Liu confirmed the rumors of Lady Gaga appearing in Cyberpunk 2077 we just that - rumors. Shame. Gaga would have been a great fit. But we're getting Keanu instead. And that's pretty damn great.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out April 16 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. If you want to get caught up on everything there is to know about the game, we have a page for that.
