Metro Exodus, the third installment in the Metro video game series based on Dmitry Glukhovsky’s novels, releases on Friday. What do critics think of the highly anticipated title? Find out in our reviews round-up.

You’ll finally be able to get your hands on Metro Exodus when it releases this week on February 15.

Set in the year 2036, two years after the events of Metro: Last Light, Metro Exodus has you reprising the role of Artyom. The story follows him and his wife Anna as they head east in search of a better life after nuclear war devastated the Earth 23 years prior.

The game takes place over the course of a year, during which you will traverse the post-apocalyptic wasteland of the former Russian Federation. While out in the world, you will encounter hideous, mutated beasts and humans, as well as normal humans who may or may not be friendly. You will also have to contend with a dynamic weather system, and changing environments based on the time of day and seasons.

Crafting weapons is a major feature of the FPS, and each can be customized by scavenging materials. This will come in handy as you progress through the game.

Metro Exodus will be made available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and for PC through the Epic Games store. Those who pre-ordered the game through Steam before it was pulled off the store can pre-load the game through the service.

All review scores below are based on ten being the highest unless noted.
