Middle-Earth Roleplaying Project ignores Warner’s cease and desist letter for now
Skyrim mod, the Middle-Earth Roleplaying project, has been handed a cease and desist order by Warner which owns the rights to gaming projects created based on Tolkien’s works. However, the folks behind the mod have contacted a lawyer, and started a petition aimed at Warner, hoping to continue progress on the ambition project.

Conan O’Brien is totally clueless when it comes to Skyrim

Skyrim beta patch 1.7 now available via Steam
Bethesda has released a new beta patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Steam users who have opted to participate in betas can trial patch 1.7, but as the bulk of the additions appear to be related to Kinect commands for the Xbox 360 version, it’s probably not that exciting. Still, according to the patch notes the update should resolve a couple of crashes and generally improve performance, so check it out if you’ve had issues.

Skyrim patch removes Dawnguard nudity
Bethesda’s patched Skyrim to remove a nudity bug from Dawnguard, OXM reports. The 31Mb fix also addresses issues with unfinishable missions and the French, Italian, German and Spanish versions of the DLC. Full notes soon.

Dude plays Skyrim on Vita RemotePlay, Internet asks why isn’t this a thing yet?
Reader rrw sent in this video of someone playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on a Vita. This is not a thing you can do unless you’re good with technical tomfoolery, and in fact doesn’t actually work that well – but holy bananas I could get behind a proper port of the Life Eater, couldn’t you? Sony has shown off PlayStation 3 games running via the Vita’s RemotePlay function in the past, but there’s no word on when the feature will become publicly available.
