PSPgo is now on sale, or at least it will be in an hour when the shops open. Priced £225, the handheld revision charts a brave new path into a discless future, armed with Bluetooth tethering and a monster supply of downloadable full price games and Minis.
We’ll have more on the machine’s release throughout today, but in the meantime you can have a read about what the internet thinks of the hardware.

The review embargo for GT PSP lifts at 5.00pm BST today. You really should be watching the mountains later on, hotshot.
That’s 9.00am PST and midday EST, if you’re from the other side.
This is the first major GT release since GT5 Prologue in early 2008, and it’s a hardware launch title. The beans are big with this one.

The first few Scribblenauts reviews have gone live. It’s looking like it might not be quite the super-game E3 promised, but it’s rosy nonetheless.
But still. Essential DS purchase, surely. The 5th Cell puzzler’s out on October 9.

IGN’s put up the first review of Resident Evil 5′s PC version, and it’s glowing.
“It may not be a radically new Resident Evil 5, but the PC version of the game still manages to hold its own with an improved control scheme and extra Mercenaries mode,” said the site.
“While the addition of costumes is somewhat minor, and you may require a few upgrades to your computer to take full advantage of what the game has to offer, you’re exploring a great story and excellent gameplay.”
It’s worth a whopping 9.3/10. You’ll be able to buy it next Friday.

Looks as though the latest IL-2 Sturmovik, Birds of Prey, is no slouch. The air combat title, releasing on Friday in Europe, is keeping its head above 80 on MetaCritic and seems worthwhile of those soon-to-be heavily depleted notes in your pocket.
Round-up below. Got to be worth a waz, innit.

Koch’s Wii survival horror’s taking a bit of a sacking at review ahead of its launch this week.
The Himalayan adventure, set in the late 1980s, follows a mountaineer as he searches for his lost brother.
Things don’t go very well, obviously. Do as thou wilt.

EG’s just said it’s to re-review EA’s Grand Slam Tennis, and has pulled its original 5/10 score.
The site’s editor, Tom Bramwell, said on his blog today that the game’s retail version is significantly more responsive than the dev kit set-up used for the review.
“As a result, I’m immediately withdrawing Eurogamer’s Grand Slam Tennis review until we will publish a new review based purely on retail console play,” said Bramwell.
“The existing text will remain online with big whopping signposts on it that highlight the above, and once the replacement review is published, it will redirect to that.”
The new score will go live on Monday.

Famitsu thinks Killzone 2′s worth 32/40, according to the game’s review in the magazine’s latest issue. The Guerrilla shooter was given 8/8/8/8 by the mag’s panel.
Tom Clancy’s HAWX got exactly the same score, meaning that either Killzone 2 is as good as HAWX, or HAWX is as good as Killzone 2.
The obvious question: is either as good as Halo?

The last 11,059 words of Dan Boutros’s Street Fighter IV review lie can be found after the break, including his score.
Sorry. We planned doing this in three parts two weeks ago, but only did one. We failed because of GDC. We watched the finger. Not the moon.
Dan was the first ever US SFIV champion. He is also a general life-hero.
Hit the link to see why. There’s a score at the bottom.
