Injustice 2 DLC kicks off next week with the arrival of Red Hood

Injustice 2 players can take on a new challenger over E3 week.

Injustice 2 will receive its first post-release DLC character next week.

Red Hood arrives in Injustice 2 on June 13, according to NetherRealm boss Ed Boon on Twitter.

The masked vigilante will initially be available only as part of the $20 Injustice 2 Fighter Pack 1, which also includes Sub Zero and Starfire. According to Destructoid, you'll be able to buy just Red Hood on his own the following week - so sometime around June 20.

We've already seen Red Hood in action in Injustice 2, but NetherRealm hasn't begun promoting the other two announced DLC characters yet. We don't have a date for them, either.

A big Injustice 2 update dropped this week, putting another layer of polish on the positively-reviewed fighter.

There's a Wonder Woman event happening in Injustice 2 at the moment, and with the strong reviews and major hype around the movie we're expecting plenty of new players looking for a chance to wield the lasso of truth and throw tanks around.

Injustice 2 is available on PS4 and Xbox One. of the three big versus fighters on the books at the moment, it's the meatiest option for those who enjoy the single-player side of things.
