SWTOR Update 2.1 to contain playable Cathar race

Friday, 26th April 2013 18:57 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

A new playable species is coming to Star Wars: The Old Republic with Game Update 2.1. It’s the Cathar, and you can check out a video preview of the playable race below. That’s all that has been shown so far, but there’s another look on Facebook. Thanks, Talkar.

Is it just me or does that race look rather dull re-skin of humans?

@1 Isn’t that case with every playable race in that game?

The Cathar are suppose to be very catlike humans.

These look more like Juhani(from Knights of the Old Republic)

Juhani was SUPPOSE to be a cathar but Bioware was lazy even back then and ‘painted’ a human model and gave it deformed ears. Looks like they are doing the exact same thing in SWTOR, completely lazy.

Every race in SWTOR is a reskinned human, nothing ‘alien’ about their aliens. They will never add a cool non-humanoid race because the game either cant support it, the staff are too inept and lazy to design it, or most likely, BOTH.
