Remember the Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia HD trilogies that popped up on Amazon France back in August?

Well, both are now listed on Zavvi’s website.

Zavvi has the Splinter Cell Trilogy down for November 26 and available for pre-order, while the Prince of Persia Trilogy is listed for March 11.

Both are listed for PS3.

The news follows the appearance of both games on the French version of Amazon last month.

Like the Amazon France listing, neither collection has been announced by Ubisoft, so keep it in the back of your mind as unconfirmed for the time being.

The first Splinter Cell games were Splinter Cell (2002); Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (2004); and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (2005).

Eurogamer believes The Prince of Persia trilogy may refer to the Sands of Time trilogy, which were PS2 games released from 2003- 2005.

Ubisoft has so far refused comment on either listing, but we’ll keep sending mails every time one of these pops up.

The Splinter Cell one makes little sense really, especially as its roots are on Xbox platforms.

But I’m sure I’ll be proved wrong :)

Good, I really want to replay Warrior Within, but PS2 and PC versions don’t support widescreen…
    Splinter Cell sucks.

No thanks. I play these games at HD resolutions already on the PC. 1900×1200 to be precise…

It’ll be curious to see if these two packs turn up for the 360 as well. It’d be sort of weird for Ubi to do PS-only versions when all six games were available on the original Xbox as well.

Regardless…. do not want. Too many properly new games to get through to worry about polished-up old stuff.

I want the Prince trilogy and I’ll buy it because I sold my PS2 trilogy when I needed money. I would love a Silent Hill HD Classics Colllection too…with the REAL Silent Hill games (2, 3, 4 and maybe 1 but I doubt it as it is PS1) UNTOUCHED but for the 1080p optimization, maltilanguage and trophies. The second the greatest hits of course. A music player and documentaries in the disc about the making and others would be cool too but NO ORIGINS, HOMECOMING and all that SHIT included, not even a picture or mention.

A SH collection would have to be 1, 2 and 3 or I’d have to burn someone at the stake.

Nah, it would be the last gen games (2-4).

Yeah, that’s what it would be, but it’s not what it should be. :-)

The first one is already on the Store, releasing PSX games in HD is abit pointless imo. I guess they could throw in a HD version of Shattered Memories though. Only problem with that is that the game sucks.

It’s a bit wonky in other ways than graphics these days, too – the controls are shocking, for instance. What I’d ideally like is a complete remake, with a ton of love poured into it, and hi-def versions of 2 and 3 thrown in as bonuses.

And the moon. On a fucking stick! :-D
