"You have to come" to console gamers, says Wargaming exec

World of Tanks is coming to Xbox 360 because Wargaming goes where the gamers are - and you don't buy a console to check your email now do you?

Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi gave a cheeky little quote to [a]list when asked about why its free-to-play juggernaut World of Tanks is coming to Xbox 360.

"In North America and the UK, that's the way people play games," he said.

"Microsoft and Sony combined have an installed user base of more than 100 million, and those are gamers.

"They're not checking email on Xbox or PlayStation. It's a culture. You have to come to them."

Adorable. Kislyi said the free game has the same depth and complexity as the PC version and runs on the same server versions.

"The changes we made were all about playing it from ten feet away. Simplifying the UI, navigating it from the controllers, combining the tank upgrades into packages," he revealed.

World of Tanks recently went into beta on Xbox 360.
