The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine May 30 release leaked - rumour

Blood and Wine, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's second and final expansion, may well release at the end of the month.

According to a number of sources, a Steam page went live for Blood and Wine this weekend, showing a May 30 release date - although it's not there now. A screenshot is being passed around; check it out on Reddit.

Unfortunately we can't verify the information - it could be a terrific PhotoShop - and even if it is completely legitimate the fact that the page has since been pulled means we can't consider it final. Bandai Namco would pull the page if it is building up to an announcement, but it's not unknown for details to change even this late, and for Steam pages to be filled with inaccuracies before they officially go live.

Now that your eyes are watering from the amount of salt we've poured on, it does seem legit, doesn't it? I believe it. CD Projekt RED said "first half of 2016" and has started rumbling about the expansion in recent weeks, including showing off the cover art and revealing that it is about as big as the Skellige arc and will release before E3.

We'll likely find out soon, as we've been promised more information this month.

The first Witcher 3 expansion was rad as heck because CD Projekt RED was able to tell a shorter, more contained story. This one is expected to be the studio's last go-round with Geralt of Rivia, so we're hoping it goes out with a bang.
