Rebellion is bringing Rogue Trooper back and its getting a lovely makeover for consoles and PC.

A remastered version of the 2006 classic, Rogue Trooper Redux is based on the cult sci-fi strip 2000 AD.

The tactical, cover-based third-person shooter was originally released for PC, PS2 and Xbox and used several story and plot elements from the original comic. It was the second game from Rebellion based on characters from the universe, the first being Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death in 2003.

In Rogue Trooper Redux, players will return to the "chem-blasted battlefields" of Nu Earth as a bio-engineered GI named Rogue. He is immune to the planet's toxic atmosphere, and carries three fallen comrades as biochips in his equipment.

His goal is to exact revenge by causing death and destruction to the colonial Nort regime.

A release date for Rogue Trooper Redux was not provided, but it's "coming soon" to PC, PlayStation 4, Switch and Xbox One.
