Suda 51 confirms that The Silver Case is getting a western remake

The Silver Case was released almost 20 years ago, and at long last, it's getting a remake and a western release.

"I am happy to announce that the long-awaited Silver Case HD remastered version will finally be available as promised," said Grasshoppper Manufacture's Suda 51 in a statement. "This title was originally released in 1999, but was never released outside of Japan until today.

"The English version will also be available, another promise made to you and will be on Steam, Playism, and other platforms."

The game is essentially a visual novel that's a part of the Kill the Past series, along with Killer7, and is set in 1999 - the year of its release.

A serial killer is on the loose in Japan and you have to solve puzzles to find out what's what.

The Silver Case is due for release this Autumn on Steam.
