Street Fighter 5: Necali moves list

With a ‘feral’ fighting style, Necali is at his absolute best when he’s in his opponent’s face thanks to his suite of powerful claw attacks and even a command grab. His V-Trigger is unique in that once you pop it, it’s a permanent change – something that changes how many of his moves perform.

Skills

V-Skill: Culminated Power (MP, MK Simultaneously)

vskill_buttons

Necali slams his hands to the ground with such power it causes a minor earthquake. Where the earthquake appears on screen can be controlled with the stick – pressing MP/MK without any button held will make it appear mid-screen, while holding back will have it appear close, and forwards on the far end of the screen.

V-Trigger: Torrent of Power (HP, HK Simultaneously when V-Trigger Gauge is full)

vtrigger_button

When Necali’s V-Trigger is activated, everything about him changes – his appearance, his vocal personality, and even how his moves perform, enabling new combo opportunities. He even gets a new Critical Art attack – though he does lose access to his V-Reversal skill, so be careful. Necali’s V-Trigger is a permanent change until the end of the round.

Special Moves

The Disc’s Guidance (Charge: Back – Forward + Punch)

CH_BF_P_sfv

This charge attack sees Necali dash forwards with an X-shaped slash as he goes. The punch button used determines how far forwards he dashes during the attack – light the closest, heavy the furthest. The EX version travels as far as the hard version, but hits a full three times along the way.

Shoryuken (Z-Motion + Punch)

Z_P_sfv

Necali’s anti-air uppercut that is fairly similar to the Shoryuken. The button used determines how fast the move starts, how high it climbs, and how many hits it has. The heavier the button, the more hits and higher it goes – but it also takes longer to start up, so be careful. The EX version is the most powerful of all.

Many beginners find the Shoryuken motion difficult to pull off. The easiest way to do it is to press forwards and then quickly pull down and perform a fireball motion, complete with the punch at the end. So long as you do this in one slick move, a Shoryuken should come out. Practice! It gets easier over time.

Mask of Tlalli (Half Circle Back + Punch)

HCB_P_sfv

Necali grabs the face of his opponent in a close-range grapple and slams them to the ground. Heavier versions do moderately more damage, but also aren’t as fast to start up. There’s also an EX version available.

Valiant Rebellion (Quarter Circle Forward + Kick)

QCF_K_sfv

With a slam of his foot to the floor, Necali knocks foes down with this move. The kick button used determines how much damage the move does – the heavier the better – but those heavier versions are also significantly slower. The EX version is speedy and has two hits, doing the most damage of all.

Critical Art (Super) – Ceremony of Honor (Quarter Circle Forwards x2 + Punch)

2QCF_P_sfv

Necali grabs his foe by the face, slams them down in the manner of his Mask of Tlalli move, and then finishes them with a flurry of slashes that sends them into the corner of the stage. While this is a grapple, Necali dashes forwards as this move starts so it can theoretically be done from a full screen away if you catch the opponent off guard.

Critical Art (Super) – V-Trigger Mode: Soul Offering (Quarter Circle Forwards x2 + Punch)

2QCF_P_sfv

Executable when Necali is in his V-Trigger state, this move plays out and executes in much the same matter as the move above, the Ceremony of Honor, but has a different finisher. As you’d expect, it does a bit more damage.

Unique Moves

These moves are ‘normal moves’, but are executed when pressing certain button combinations or sequences, and often have specific uses and properties. Try them in training mode to see what they’re useful for!

  • Opening Dagger (Forward + Hard Punch)
  • Road of the Sun (Forward Jump >> Down + Heavy Kick)
  • Sacrificial Altar (Medium Kick > Hard Kick > Back + Medium Punch & Medium Kick)
