SEGA has "no plans" to bring back classic Sonic, but "never say never"

SEGA may be bringing Sonic back as his classic Sonic 1 self in unlockable form with Sonic Generations, but don't look for it to be happening again any time soon. According to the firm's European brand manager David Corless, "there are no plans, to be brutally honest, to bring Classic Sonic back." Corless said the only reason he's back for the November release, is due to it being the hedgehog's 20th anniversary. "It was a real fitting time to do it, he’s really well loved," he said. "Let’s see how Generations does. You can never say never in this industry, but at the moment there are no plans.”

Generations is out November 1 PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, and on November 22 and 25 for 3DS in the US and Europe, respectively. Thanks, Gematsu.
