Real Racing 3 will have asynchronous multiplayer

Real Racing 3 is something of a poster boy for iDevice gaming, and this latest developer diary shows one of its more droolworthy features - asynchronous multiplayer.

As the developer diary below explains, Firemonkeys' plan is to outdo traditional ghost racing so that when you challenge a friend's record time, you don't just see their transparent avatar zooming around - you can actually interact with it. Wouldn't have got such a good time if I'd knocked you off the tracks, would you?

It's an ambitious claim, but let's face it; even without such a neat feature, Real Racing 3 already looks like a pretty great mobile racing experience. Just look at it go.
