Nintendo E3 2016: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pokemon Sun and Moon

The new game in the series starring Link is called The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

In the E3 2016 video, it showed Link scaling mountains, buildings, felling trees, taking a swim, hunting and cooking over a fire pit.

It also gave us a quick look at taking down enemies, a couple bosses - one very large one - and at the very end, the Master Sword. Link also appears wearing a suit of armor.

Nintendo of North America boss Reggie Fils-Aime said after the video was shown the game is an "entirely new format for a Legend of Zelda game", adding that the land of Hyrule will be the player's resource, ally and enemy.

He said the game is so vast, those at E3 this week playing the demo will be unable to see all of it.

We were only given that short look, but more information will be made available on the game this week, as it is one of the main focus games for Nintendo during E3 2016.

More information on the Wii U and Nintendo NX title is promised in the months to come leading up to its 2017 release, but we fully expect all sorts of gameply information from those playing the demo this week.

Eiji Aonuma will be up shortly to show The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild gameplay, so be sure to tune back into the Treehouse Live stream.

Pokemon Sun and Moon

During the Treehouse stream, a Pokemon Sun and Moon interview with Junichi Masuda was provided. New Pokemon such as Litten were shown, along with a look at Zygarde Formes, which will appear in a special way' in the games.

You were given a look at both forms last week through a gameplay video.

Plenty of gameplay for the acrobatic Sea Lion starter Pokemon, Popplio, was shown. The Pokemon uses balloons made of water from its nose to create a variety of different strategies and attacks in battle.

Changes to trainer movement was also demoed, and when a player meets up with another trainer who wants to battle, a shadow will appear under the player's character.

Other gameplay features such as leveling, catching Pokemon and the Pokedex where shown. Players will visit a festival, and they can battle other Trainers while there, and while traveling around the various islands, there will be arnea style areas where other trainers in the game can watch the player battle.

Battle Royale is a new multiplayer mode. It is a 4-player battle, and each player can choose up to three Pokemon to use.

It is a free for all, and the first Trainer to lose all their Pokemon causes the battle to end. One that happens, to determine the winner, the game tallies how many Pokemon defeated were defeated. PLayers can battle each other individually or all gang up on e one player.

Pokemon Sun and Moon will be released in Japan and North American on November 18 and on November 23 in Europe.
