Nathan Fillion, prominent TV actor who's also responsible for many memorable roles in video games, is teasing something Uncharted related.
Fillion posted a picture of rapper Drake on his Instagram account with the caption "Sic Parvis Magna", a phrase that should be familiar to Uncharted fans.
Sic Parvis Magna means "greatness from small beginnings", and the phrase is itched on a ring worn by series protagonist Nathan Drake. Of course, Fillion has never starred in any of the Uncharted games, which got fans to speculate he's possibly teasing involvement in the Uncharted movie.
The post also pointed followers to a Monday, July 16 date, which could be when Fillion will reveal what it is.
A day later, the actor posted another teaser with the same date, this time showing a map and a magnifying glass, something that wouldn't be out of place in an Uncharted game or film.
It's possible Fillion is teasing a role in a new iteration of the long-in-development Uncharted film, which was last said to have Spider-Man actor Tom Holland as the lead.
Variety, however, has heard that Fillion is not attached to the Uncharted movie project.
It's worth mentioning that the San Diego Comic-Con starts July 19, so Fillion could be teasing something - Uncharted-related - that he'll be involved with at the event.
Whatever it is, Fillion is no stranger to eager, swashbuckling character types. While it would make sense for him to play Nathan Drake, he's practically playing the same character as Destiny's Cayde-6, Sergeant Buck in Halo, and Reynolds on Firefly - the list goes on.
