Scorpion opens Mortal Kombat X pre-orders

Mortal Kombat X developer NetherRealm Studios has opened the floodgates on pre-orders, along with some new pieces of Scorpion artwork. Yep, he still looks has hard as a brick s**t-house.

We've also got the Mortal Kombat X reveal trailer and box art for you to check out too.

You'll find the Mortal Kombat X pre-order page here, and after clicking you'll be met with a ghastly image of Scorpin staring at you with his dead eyes, along with links to participating retailers.

It's out in 2015 - in fact, Amazon says June 30 that year - which is a while away yet of course, but the studio dropped this little snippet to tide you over:

Fueled by next-gen technology, Mortal Kombat X combines unparalleled, cinematic presentation with all new gameplay to deliver the most brutal Kombat experience ever. For the first time ever, Mortal Kombat X gives players the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character impacting both strategy and fighting style.

And with a new fully-connected gameplay experience, players are launched into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy.

Here's the new artwork:
