Let inXile convince you to get on board The Bard's Tale 4, infomercial-style
The Bard's Tale 4 is in its final days on Kickstarter. Now's the time for a good strong sales pitch.
At time of writing, The Bard's Tale 4 had just under 48 hours left of its Kickstarter campaign.
It's comfortably past its $1.25 million goal, but inXile has stretch goals planned through $1.9 million, and probably secret schemes beyond that. Also, as the developer points out in the informercial below, this is your last chance to buy-in at the discounted backer price.
In case you couldn't parse it, the rapid-fire disclaimer at the end is a brief discussion of the fact that inXile cannot provide a solid release date, and that development time will increase as the budget does. It also mentioned that inXile has produced one successful Kickstarter-funded game to date (Wasteland 2) and has another pretty close to finished (Torment: Tides of Numenera). All good points to bear in mind when contemplating the crowdfunding crapshoot.
