Killzone 1080p false advertising lawsuit dismissed

The Killzone: Shadow Fall Resolutiongate lawsuit has ended with a whimper rather than a bang.

Last year, a class action lawsuit was brought against Sony over Killzone: Shadow Fall.

The suit alleged Sony was guilty of negligent misrepresentation, false advertisement, unfair competition and fraud in the inducement for claiming that Shadow Fall had 1080p graphics, when it in fact makes use of temporal reprojection.

We didn't hear anything else about the case after that, but Courthouse News now reports that it has been dismissed with prejudice by a US District Court, with each party to shoulder their own legal costs.

That doesn't mean the case was thrown out as meritless, by the way; just that the plaintiff can't have another go without jumping through some serious hoops. The two parties apparently reached a settlement, the terms of which were not disclosed.
