"Fallout 76 does not support cross-play" - Bethesda's Pete Hines

Yesterday, Sony made the historic announcement that, finally, PS4 and Xbox One players could play online together with cross-play.

Initially, cross-play only allows people on PS4 to play with Xbox One and Switch players on Fortnite, but Sony said more games would be compatible with this service down the line.

Unfortunately, for now it looks like we'll have to rule Fallout 76 out of the equation.

Here's Bethesda's VP of marketing, Pete Hines, clarifying the situation:

According to Hines, the studio's focus is currently on getting the game into beta and released. It also has no plans to add the functionality retroactively, at least for now, due to "a number of reasons".

Fallout 76 releases on November 14 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you need more details, here's everything we know about Fallout 76.
