Earthrise to relaunch as free-to-play in 2012

Ve3D reports Masthead's debut game, Earthrise, is going free-to-play. As of December 1, players will no longer be able to purchase monthly subscriptions, and the games is expected to make the full conversion on January 1. A boxed version will be available at retail and grant access to the "premium" version. The scifi MMO shooter launched in February this year, and has an emphasis on PvP play.
