David O. Russell drops out of Uncharted flick

Variety has reported that David O. Russell has left the Uncharted movie project due to "creative differences."

We read that as fan death threats, but anyway, Russell was set to write and produce Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and it was to star Mark Wahlberg and possibly Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci who would give it a Sopranos type of family dynamic.

Creative differences, huh?

Variety reports that the story is still developing so stay tuned.

Thanks, Joystiq.
