Double account XP and weapon XP now live in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

You have one last chance to make more progress in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Officer Ranks thanks to double XP.

Infinity Ward has activated double XP for both player levels, as well as weapon levels in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The double XP event is live now until December 2 on all platforms.

Limited double XP tokens you may have do not stack with this, so save them for later.

Infinity Ward also explained in a blog post how the new seasonal ranks are going to work. When season one kicks off next week, all players' Officer Ranks will reset back the normal level cap.

The game will keep a record of how high your Officer Rank was before the rest, and you'll get to keep any weapon blueprints you may have unlocked as part of that Officer progression.

When the new season begins, everyone - assuming they already hit the normal level cap - will need to grind another 100 ribbons through new challenges for the season one seasonal rank. Players who have yet to reach the normal level cap will still find Enlisted Ranks beyond the cap. Clearing those will get them into Officer Rank progression of season one.

Once again, all your mission progress, stats, and anything else you unlocked will carry over with you into season one.
