Borderlands 2 is getting free DLC to bridge the story gap with Borderlands 3 - report
The rumored Borderlands 2 DLC has seemingly been confirmed thanks to a leak on Steam.
Earlier this week, it was rumored Borderlands 2 DLC would be released to bridge the story gap between it and Borderlands 3.
After the initial news broke, it appears Steam posted a store page for the free DLC before removing it quickly.
But as with all things on the internet, it wasn't removed quick enough. Even the screenshots were pulled from the listing, s you can see over on Imgur.
Here's the DLC's description.
Return to the award winning shooter-looter for a new adventure that sets the stage for the upcoming Borderlands 3. Sanctuary is under siege, the Vault's map has been stolen and a toxic gas is poisoning Pandora. Fight new bosses, explore new zones, get new loot (including an entirely new tier beyond Legendary) and join up with Lilith and the Crimson Raiders to take on a deranged villain hell-bent on ruling the planet
Returning players can pursue an increased level cap of 80, while newcomers can automatically boost to level 30 and dive straight into the action.
The DLC is slated for June 9.

Gearbox is reportedly working on a new piece of DLC for Borderlands 2 designed to set up the events of Borderlands 3.
According to a PlayStation Lifestyle report, Gearbox will soon be releasing a DLC aimed at bridging the gap between the events of Borderlands 2 and those of the upcoming Borderlands 3.
The site revealed the add-on will be called Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary, which it notes will be announced and released during E3 week on June 9.
Lilith was the Siren class in the original Borderlands, and has since appeared in Borderlands 2, and will play a role in Borderlands 3 as seen in the game's trailers. No other details about the DLC are known at this time.
Gearbox previously confirmed it'll be attending E3. In fact, the developer will share more about the endgame in Borderlands 3 at the show, so it certainly has a platform to announce the rumoured DLC.
Borderlands 2 also recently received higher-resolution textures in a free update, so it's not really surprising that the 2012 game is still being supported.
