Batman: Arkham Origins MP developed by Splash Damage

Called "Invisible Predator Online," the 3v3v2 competitive mode pits three Joker fiends fighting three of Bane's minions and you and a friend as Batman or Robin as mentioned above.

Players can also take on the role of a "Super-Villain Elite" to see what it's like to side with Bane or The Joker and even "call in the ultimate reinforcement to help turn the tide in any match," by playing as The Joker or Bane themselves.

The online mode will be available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 when the game launches worldwide on October 25.

Wii U multiplayer was not mentioned in the press release, and a Warner spokesperson has told Eurogamer the firm decided to focus its efforts platforms with a larger multiplayer community.

"Multiplayer will be available for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The team is focusing development efforts on platforms with the largest MP audience," reads the statement.

Developed by WB Games Montréal, Batman: Arkham Origins will be available for PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, the handheld version developed by Armature Studio, will be available for 3DS and Vita.
