BAFTA to take video game branch to US

BAFTA's just announced that it's bringing its video games arm to the US.

As part of the move, ahead of E3, BAFTA will hold a talk with Sims and Spore creator Will Wright about his time in the industry this Sunday.

It has also confirmed that it'll introduce a committee based in Los Angeles that will represent the body's actvities in the US, and will feed back into the committee that's based in London.

BAFTA COO Kevin Price has also confirmed to GI.biz that it'll host its Video Games Awards, which are held here in the UK every March, in the US as well.
