As you can see in the video, customizing load-outs in Arms isn't the only way to customize a character.

Changing the color scheme of the fighters is rather simple, and there are four options available for each character. The schemes can be changed while in the character select screen.

You can scroll through the options by clicking the left stick on the controller and moving it in four different directions until you find the one you like. Make sure after you have clicked the stick, you continue to hold down on it, otherwise it will just cycle through characters.

To apply the new look, just press the A button, per Eurogamer. If you click the link there, you'll find images of each color scheme along with which direction you will need to move the stick for each.

If you're still on the fence about Arms, have a look at the reviews for it. Critics seem rather pleased with it.

Once you have brought it home, or have it already and are just getting started, here's a six tips to help you get started.

Along with the game being made available today through the Nintendo eShop and retail, Arms players can look forward to a free DLC character next month, Max Brass.

A spectator mode for Arms is also coming in a post-launch update.
