Arms continues to stretch out with a new fighter and stage for its 4.0 update

Remember Arms, the cool Nintendo fighting game that got lost in the mid-year shuffle a bit? Well, it's still being updated.

The 4.0 update for Arms is available now, bringing with it a new fighter, a new stage, and some new arms. The new fighter is Misango (we're not yet sure if the name is a tribute to everyone's favourite Pokemon glitch or if it just...sounds similar).

According to Nintendo, Misango is a spiritual man who can protect himself from attacks that would make other fighters flinch and increase his speed on the fly.

He'll be fighting in his new stage, the Temple Grounds, which is full of big ol' pillars to dodge and weave between.

Three new Arms have come to the game as well - Scorpio, Glusher, and Skully. We don't have much information on them.

Despite selling extremely well and being well received, Arms isn't popping up in many discussions about Nintendo's phenomenal year. It's been receiving huge updates since release, so if you haven't played for a while it's worth jumping back in and seeing what you've missed.

To break a promise I made to myself about not making this joke anymore - it seems that Arms might, indeed, have legs.
