Resident Evil Village: 4 reasons why you should be excited if you're new to the series

Resident Evil 8 looks great, even if you've never played a game in Capcom's classic series before.

Believe it or not, there are actually people who've never played a Resident Evil game! Can you imagine? What people can exist in the year 2021 without having played a single game in this survival horror franchise?

It's me, I'm those people. I know, I know, but I'm trying to change that with Capcom's newest edition to the series, Resident Evil Village.

Capcom allowed me to view an unseen hour-long gameplay demo and as someone who was once scared to death of horror games, I must say, I'm pretty excited. I know some of you out there are in the same boat as me so I just wanted to showcase a few parts of RE: Village that I'm excited about.

In the video above I speak about getting lost in Lady Dimitrescu’s maze of a castle, The upgrades and equipment you'll need to survive on your journey, The immersion of stepping into the shoes of Ethan Winters and starting with Resident Evil: Village and going back to Resident Evil 7 - which seems backwards, but I've convinced myself that it makes some sense.

If you're after the thoughts of someone who has played every Resident Evil game and knows the score, check out Tom's thoughts in his Resident Evil Village preview. He is my boss, so I'm definitely not just saying that to keep him sweet.

Resident Evil: Village releases on May 7 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC . Let me know what you think about Resident Evil: Village and the video in the comments.
