Check out the Destiny: Rise of Iron Trials of Osiris Ornaments most of us will never earn

Destiny: Rise of Iron introduces several new ways to show other players that you're way better than them.

Destiny: Rise of Iron introduces a new type of customisation called Ornaments. A purely cosmetic upgrade node, Ornaments are another way of making your Guardian look distinct from the rest of the pack.

Some of them are arguably about more than just aesthetic, though. Bungie has shown off some of the Ornaments which will be available through Trials of Osiris when Destiny: Rise of Iron launches in September - if you're good enough to reach the Lighthouse.

So take a good, hard look at these images, because it's as close as the majority of us are ever going to get. To reach the Lighthouse, a fireteam of three needs to manage a perfect Trials of Osiris run - that's nine Elimination wins and zero losses (although you can purchase items to forgive one loss and gain an extra win), in the face of matchmaking which escalates as your wins accumulate. It's the toughest PvP challenge in the game right now, and that looks set to continue with Destiny: Rise of Iron.

Huh. Who wants an orange hologram cat cape anyway? It's not like I main a Hunter and my favourite colour is orange and I'm a crazy cat lady. This hasn't made me so salty I want to mail Bungie a bag of dicks at all. Destiny: Rise of Iron better have some other pretty things for me or I'm going to sulk right through to Destiny 2 next year.
