American and Canadian iOS users have the chance to score a trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, by downloading Darksiders II: Soul Harvest. The location-based app lets you check in at various locations – Best Buy’s net bonus points – and harvest the souls of everyone who preceded you. The Yucatan boasts plenty of attractions including the seat of Mayan civilization and the border of the Chicxculub crater, a top pick for the landing zone of the asteroid that caused the mass extinction of dinosaurs. Microsoft’s Larry Hryb has announced the welcome extension of the Xbox 360 subscription deal to US chain retailers Best Buy and Gamestop. The deal, which includes a 4GB Xbox 360 and Kinect for $99 plus two year’s subscription fee of $14.99, was previously only available through Microsoft’s rare retail outlets until the firm announced a change of heart earlier in the month.

Check it out guys, BestBuy thinks Splinter Cell: Blacklist is coming to Wii U. Ubisoft’s love affair with the new console suggests such a thing is quite probable, but the official word is PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for a northern spring 2013 release.
