Best Buy will have a limited stock of Nintendo Switch consoles at some stores for those who didn't pre-order

There is a chance you could head over to your local Best Buy and return home with a Nintendo Switch without needing to pre-order beforehand.

Best Buy has confirmed that many of its stores will be allocated Nintendo Switch stock beyond what's already been reserved by pre-order customers. Everyone will have to wait in line, though, even those with pre-orders, the retailer said (via Polygon).

If you don't have a pre-order, you'll have to be at your local store earlier than usual, as quantities are limited. Best Buy will hand out tickets to those waiting that guarantee them a Switch console, with a limit of one per customer.

Over 600 stores will be hosting midnight launch events, with all Switch games and accessories to be available starting midnight local time on Friday, March 3. If your local store is not open at midnight, you'll be able to walk in on Friday from 9 or 10am to try your luck.

You can follow this link to check which of your local stores will be participating. Showing up does not guarantee you'll be able to buy a Switch, but it's worth a shot if you missed the window on pre-orders and want one this weekend.
