Second Rise of the Tomb Raider patch addresses GPU issues, glitches, more

Rise of the Tomb Raider players on PC were given another patch yesterday.

Build 1.0.616.4 addresses some bugs, performance improvements for GPU-bound situations, adds a separate mouse sensitivity control for X and Y axis, and an audio cue has been added for finding secrets in the relic viewer.

The update also adds an option to reduce in-game camera shake and additional "error handling and messaging" in case the PC's GPU driver is crashing or unresponsive.

Some fixes have also been applied such as the map not showing or popping up in the wrong region along with graphics glitches on NPC clothing when running Nvidia 6x0 and 7x0 hardware.

As with the last update, if the patch causes problems, the team has made a beta patch build available so players can switch back to the older version.

The patch is now live on Steam and will be available for Rise of the Tomb Raider players who purchased it through the Windows Store "in a few days."
