FInally 360…jesus, it took them long enough. BUT…not looking bad at all.

It looks really good for as good as a nighttime mission can look,cause honestly they are always underwhelming. Take GRAW for example,nighttime missions looked kinda meh, daytime missions were great looking.

I like how some objects appear in front of the player. Classy 512 mb ram console feature with awesome textures.

But hey, it looks better than most of the shooters that are on PS3 or 360.

I think it says more about the spoilt and obnoxious attitudes of some gamers than it does about the game when something that looks like this is considered “meh”.

This trailer right here is why we don’t need a new hardware generation any time soon. The game looks ridiculously stunning.

It’s a game.. People who actually feel the need to pick sides and argue about the difference in a game on different formats need to grow a set.

Really looking forward to this game. 360 for me as I don’t have a crazy computer or ps3. Will be the most epic game ever.

@17 Sims, smartphone and Facebook shit are not real gaming. AAA blockbusters like this, gears, uncharted etc are real games. And the truth is you need to have at least one of the HD consoles if you want to experience most of these games.

than you really don’t know what is trolling. All i said is that the console footage looks worse than the PC version by “far”. Of course everyone know that, but this was developed specifically for PC and that makes it look really outstanding compared to console footage. It’s just time to move on. IMO.

Maybe they should not have made the Guillotine teaser trailer from the PC version… You can compare some of the scenes and see just how much they dumbed it down for Xbox.

Virtually no fucking difference.

@29 There is quite a major difference. However, I do agree with you for the most part, as BF3 looks fine on the Xbox and PS3. I’ll be getting it on the PC, but then again, if you prefer the console, Erthazus shouldn’t be flaming you. Freedom of choice and whatnot.

The only noticeable differences are the amount of ground clutter, and the sharpness of the textures.

Neither of which take away from the atmosphere.

Heck, if I had a PC that could run this, I probably would buy it on the PC, but it would have absolutely nothing to do with the negligible difference it the quality of the graphics.

I for one am delighted that the game is looking this good on consoles.
I think some people are missing the forest for the trees here.

Would you prefer clear daylight between the graphical quality on PC vs console? I think the above video would pour cold water on the ambition of console gamers to buy the game if there was a noticeable gulf in quality. In turn this would lead them into Activision’s hand and encourage them to keep churning out cookie cutter sequel after sequel.
If a game is good on all platforms a talented developer gets rewarded both financially, critically and perhaps most importantly they gain influence; hell it may even encourage other devs to treat the PC as a lead platform if DICE’s strategy doing the same is successful.

Much of the above griefing to my mind comes from a much more selfish and exclusive desire to have some esoteric piece of software/hardware to rub in other people’s noses. For me, my motivation is simple; I want to share good gaming experiences. If you are passionate about something why wouldn’t you want other people to revel in it too? Do people who like other types of media such as film ,music and TV desire to set a barrier to entry as well? Yes they do, they’re called hipsters…..

Xbox 360′s can be purchased for about £45.00 second hand if you shop around now…

@41 You should watch some of the pc beta footage. Lot more exciting. Lots of hiding behind rocks/bushes, crawling to cover, popping up to shoot at a rock/bush some guy is hiding behind… epic.

The only running I saw is when the player got shot from out of nowhere & had to get back to the action from the spawn point waaaaay back at the map. Exhilarating.

Please don’t pull out the boring “bf3 fans only care about graphics” shit because we can’t see anything else yet. One can assume the style, flavor of the gameplay from videos but untill there are reviews/actual games played people can only praise the damn graphics of the game.

ON: If I’d have an XBOX I’d gladly buy this game on it, because it’s not inferior compared to the PC version by the looks of it.

I don’t think Battlefield fans are any different from anyone else – I just think they generally fail to realize that.

That’s really the first singleplayer gameplay I’ve seen that has looked great. Looks like they’ve taken notes from Modern Warfare on the tracer effects, using the night setting, and including events like firing a bit of 60mm illume (even though the smoky tracers were quite cool in BC2 too).

How is PC gaming expensive? Its the equivalent to a console and laptop in one bag. Combine the cost of your console and your laptop, and that could have been your PC gaming budget. It costs more because you’re buying TWO things that do the job of the two individually, but with faster, better interfacing and processing, FULL HD AND 60 FPS standard, freedom of OS, open standards, and cheaper games and peripherals. If you wanted to be a PC gamer it wouldn’t cost a penny more than buying some OKAY laptop and a current gen console.
