Activision sells 18 million Black Ops map packs

Black Ops map packs are selling through the roof. Also, surprise of the century, Activision is raking in money by the truckload.

Activision Blizzard reported today that they raked in a whopping 1.7 billion USD during the 12 month period ending in June 2011, representing a 22 per cent increase over the year before according to Gamasutra.

Black Ops and Blizzard's brands continue to generate enormous income, as usual. One of the more notable successes of Acti-Blizz's report is that the Call of Duty: Black Ops map pack sold an incredible 18 million copies at $15 a piece.

They triumphantly touted that the average Black Ops customer is now paying $76 per purchase (game + DLC).
