Win a 5-star trip to play BF3 at DICE in Sweden! Enter now!

Seriously: enter this and win the chance to travel with us to DICE’s headquarters in Stockholm later this month. Real guns are involved.

VG247 is delighted to announce that two of you will be coming with us to Sweden at the end of August to go hands-on with Battlefield 3!

You’ll fly out on Monday, August 29 and spend Tuesday and Wednesday at EA DICE in central Stockholm, staying at a nearby five-star hotel.

You’ll get to play the game, meet the developers and even take a trip to a local gun range. You’ll also have time to explore Stockholm itself.

Your thoughts on BF3’s new-look multiplayer modes and Frostbite 2 engine will form part of VG247’s editorial from the trip.

All you have to do to stand a chance of being on the plane is answer the following question correctly. Please also make sure you’re able to visit Sweden with us on August 29, 30 and 31.

Question: In which year did Battlefield 2 release for PC?

  • 2002
  • 2003
  • 2004
  • 2005

Are other travel expenses included or would the winners need to make their own way to wherever it is you’re flying from?

If not obviously it’s still well worth entering, I could just see it being a consideration for those of us that live somewhat out of the way.

Just random questions that might help :)

Too bad I live in Finland. But on the contrary, GameStop is hosting a very similiar contest, and they’ll hand you a signed copy of Battlefield 3 as well!

Quick question I’m a UK resident but have an Irish passport. Since Sweden and Ireland are both in the EU would I still not be able to enter?

Quick update: Eurogamer appear to be running the same competition, their only requirement appears for you to simply be a UK resident.

@11

Oh whoops, I didn’t think of that either.
Presumably they mean “valid passport that allows travel”.

Funny, I’ve just came back home after a week in Stockholm. Gorgeous city! Expensive food…Anyone wanting tips just ask for it.
Oh and Dice’s headquarters have a really nice view.

Alcohol is really expensive too right? Nice competition, unfortunately only UK folks. Alas, I probably wouldn’t have won anyway, so no big deal.

@14 Yup, they have a special tax for alcohol which makes it really expensive. Water was all I had the entire week. No complaints there since even their tap water is excelent (to give you an idea, it’s at the same level or better than common bottled water).

Just got this: “All meals and evening drinks will be looked after by EA.”

It’ll be cool. You’ll get drunk.

UK resident only! :( .
SinceI’m not an UK resident, can I swap it with some cash if I win, pat? I’m gonna need it much more to upgrade my rig in order to play this game properly, though!

Edit: My bad by skipping this part
“Prizes will not be exchanged for cash or other goods.”
