Multiplayer Homefront demo re-confirmed by THQ, "multiple drops" of DLC inbound

THQ re-confirmed last night it'll launch a multiplayer demo of Homefront, as well as announcing that "multiple" DLC packs would be released within the next six months.

Speaking in the company's full-year financial results, CEO Brian Farrell said that a MP taster would help "stimulate" new players as well as those who had purchased the game.

It follows previous confirmation of a multiplay demo from core games VP Danny Bilson, telling VG247 back in October of last year that one would follow, although didn't confirm if it would launch before or after the Kaos shooter released.

Farrell also said that that "multiple drops" of "robust downloadable content" are on the way, but didn't confirm when exactly we could expect it. Both the demo and DLC will drop within "about the next six months."

When the DLC does release, it'll arrive first on Xbox 360.

THQ confirmed last night Homefront has now shipped 2.6 million units since its March release.
