Dragon Age II demo is "speculation," says BioWare

BioWare has said that a demo of Dragon Age II is just "speculation".

Lead writer David Gaider added on the BioWare forums that new of a taster was just hot air.

"The demo is not 'confirmed'," said Gaider. "We have made no official announcement.

"This is speculation, and no matter what it's based on it shouldn't be so misleading."

Gaider continued: "Regardless of what you think we should or shouldn't be doing (it's not my place to give info) please keep the fact that this is still all speculation in mind and that you're self-referencing here."

This follows news that a demo for the RPG will apparently drop on February 23, with GameStop employees getting it earlier on February 11.

EA hasn't responded to our query for comment at this time about a demo.

Dragon Age II releases on March 8 in the US and March 11 in the UK for PS3, 360 and PC.

Thanks, EG.
