Twitch now has a free music library available for video game streamers

Twitch has made available a library of music featuring over 500 tunes which streamers are available to use for free.

Making use of the songs in the library ensure that users won't be flagged for copyright violations.

Various labels have already signed up, and unsigned musicians can also allow their original creations to be used by Twitch streamers.

Last year, Twitch implemented an audio recognition system which checks archived videos (VOD) for copyrighted material. When the system detected copyrighted material, 30 minutes of silence was placed on the archived video.

The service added an appeals button after the fact for those who wanted to contest a flag.

Back in August of last year, Twitch was acquired by Amazon for $970 million.
