Twitch Prime members will soon get 24 Destiny 2 items, including Exotics

Twitch is kicking off an unprecedented promo soon that offers plenty of Destiny 2 items.

Update

Twitch and Bungie have confirmed six month's worth of Destiny 2 drops. In order to receive the goodies, you will need to link your Bungie.net account with your Twitch Primes account.

Each drop will contain four rewards, including Exotic weapons, Ghosts, ships, Sparrows, emotes, and weapon ornaments from previous Seasons.

The first gear drop will run from now until February 25 and will include the SUROS Regime, the Coup de Main Ornament, the Skyline Flipside Exotic Ghost Shell, and the unsecured Outcry Exotic ship.

Original

Twitch has leaked a big announcement supposedly going live today. As part of a partnership with Bungie, Twitch Prime members will receive a bunch of Destiny 2 in-game items, including Exotic and legendary gear.

A banner breaking the news was briefly available on Twitch's homepage before it was deleted, but not before Reddit user Skatercobe took a screenshot. But you don't have to wait until the rewards are revealed to find out what you can earn.

Twitter user @JpDeathBlade datamined all the details from the game's recent patch. According to their findings, Twitch Prime members will receive a pack of four items every month for six months, a total of 24 items.

Though most of these rewards are cosmetic, some of them are actual Exotic weapons. Suros Regime, The Prospector, and Prometheus Lens all make an appearance. The rest includes ships, Ghosts, emotes and Ornaments. It's a fairly good haul all told.

The first set is supposed to be going live today alongside a proper reveal. Though specific platforms have not been confirmed, the rewards are likely going to be available across all platforms.

In the meantime, Prime members should make sure their Bungie accounts are linked to Twitch.

In other Destiny 2 news, game servers are now back online following a major problem that caused certain items to disappear off players' inventories.
