Syberia 3: New gameplay footage and release date announced
Talk of Syberia 3 has been floating about since 2009, and the expected release window of 2014/ 2015 has come and gone. But at long last, publisher Microïds has nailed down a date. Syberia 3 will be coming out later this year, on December 1.
As well as announcing a release date, they've also shared the video above, which includes gameplay footage and commentary from the developers on the changes in aesthetics and mechanics since the previous title a decade ago.
Syberia 3 is a new adventure for heroine Kate Walker, who finds herself " adrift on a makeshift craft" at the beginning of the game. Rescued by the Youkol people - whom you may recall from SYberia 2 - she "decides to help the nomads fulfill the oddest of their ancestral traditions: accompanying the transhumance of the snow ostriches to the holy steppes where they can reproduce."
Syberia 3 will be heading to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on December 1, 2016. You can take a peek at screenshots and artwork in the gallery below.
